Houston police have solved the disappearance of a large ceramic horse from Hamrick Terrace. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Joshua E. Dewitt, 37, of 119 Ozark Terrace in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and speeding after a traffic stop on Highway 17 at about 7:10 p.m. Aug. 15.

An officer made the stop after observing a Pontiac passenger car moving at a high rate of speed. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and filed sobriety tests were conducted.

Dewitt was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•David H. Ward, 34, of 116 Park St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while suspended after a traffic stop on Bryan Street at about 4:10 p.m. Aug. 7. An officer who knew Ward’s license was suspended made the stop after observing him driving a white Dodge Intrepid.

•Kari D.M. Young, 27, of 503 E. Main St. in Willow Springs, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after being seen inside Walmart at about 10:40 p.m. Aug. 10.

Young had been banned from all Walmart properties after a previous incident. An officer located her driving a purple Chevrolet Monte Carlo on First Street. She was also ticketed for driving while revoked.
