Houston police officers handled several investigations during the last week. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Melvin L. Seyler, 51, of 418 Third St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way after a two-vehicle accident at Main and Third streets at about 5 p.m. Aug. 25.

•Macie D. Mitchell, 24, of 313 Holt S.t in Houston, was arrested Aug. 30 for having active City of Licking warrants for stealing under $500 and driving while revoked.

An officer who was aware of the warrants made the arrest at Mitchell’s residence while investigating another matter. She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $500 bond.

•Amie J. Stokes, 37, of 114 S. Oak Crest St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while suspended after a traffic stop on First Street at about 8:15 p.m. Aug. 30.

•Tammy S. Stallcup, 49, of 8043 Illinois Road in Houston, was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 30 for having an active Texas County warrant for forgery.

An officer arrested Stallcup after observing a gold Buick sedan twice cross the centerline on U.S. 63 and then turn into the wrong lane on Walnut Street, and then initiating a traffic stop. A routine computer check revealed the warrant.

Stallcup was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $75,000 bond.

•James M. Middleton, 19, of 309 Holt St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting a pocket knife from Walmart at about 6:10 p.m. Aug. 13.

•Cassandra A. Boyle, 25, of 10145 Buck Hollow Road at Licking, was ticketed on Aug. 29 for displaying the plates of another.

•Kari D. Young, 28, of 415 W. Mill Street, Lot 5, in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while revoked after a traffic stop at U.S. 63 and Brushy Creek Road at about 1:10 a.m. Aug. 30.

•David G. Dodson, 33, of 902 Hiett St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while suspended after a traffic stop at Airport Road and Spruce Street at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

•Billy J. Hayes Jr., 24, of 31 Holt St. in Houston, was arrested for having an active Houston municipal warrant for failure to obey a law officer. Hayes was arrested at his residence and taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $1,000 bond.

•Patricia J. Hayes, 35, of 603 Ozark St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting from Casey’s General Store on Aug. 19.

•Two Houston women were cited after a fight at about 8:40 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Murphy Oil gas station on U.S. 63.

An investigating officer cited Caitlyn Pena, 26, of 7695 Barry Lane in Houston, and Rebecca J. Tune, 25, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 19, in Houston. Pena was also cited for unlawful exhibition of a weapon after allegedly brandishing a homemade weapon consisting of a piece of metal with four sharp spikes.

The device was seized as evidence.
