Vashti Dawn Keehner, daughter of Roger C. Moore and Valerie (Clark) Hartman, was born June 2, 1989, in Rolla, Mo., and departed this life Aug. 19, 2015, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo. She was 26 years, 2 months, and 17 days of age.
Vashti was raised in the Success and Bucyrus communities. She graduated from Houston High School in 2007. Vashti attended Missouri State University and graduated in May 2015 with an associate degree.
On May 12, 2007, she was united in marriage to Anthony Keehner in Houston, Mo. Three children were born to this union: Michelle, Maddison, and Lance.
Vashti loved crocheting, hunting and fishing. She enjoyed school, reading and loved to sing. She was saved and baptized at an early age and attended the Crossroads of Faith Church.
Vashti always enjoyed being a caregiver and especially enjoyed taking care of her grandmother Clark. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and church family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Vashti was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Frankie Keehner; her grandparents, Harold D. and Ruth Clark; and her uncle, David Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Keehner of the home; one son, Lance Keehner of the home; two daughters, Michelle Keehner and Maddison Keehner of the home; her father, Roger Moore; her mother and stepfather, Valerie and Clay Hartman of Houston, Mo.; mother-in-law, Terri Keehner of Mountain Grove, Mo.; one brother, Kenneth Moore of Bucyrus, Mo.; two sisters, Misty Dickerson and her husband, Jamie, of Mountain View, Mo., and Hope Fuwell and her husband, Jason, of Summersville, Mo.; her grandmother, Fern Rhodes; her grandfather, Dean Wiyrick; nieces and nephews, Laney and Ethan Fuwell and Dezaray and Dalton Dickerson; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Crossroads of Faith Church with the Rev. Smiley Martin officiating. Burial was in the Willow Springs Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
