According to LPD Chief Scott Lindsey, a call was received at about 9:50 a.m. about a female visitor acting suspiciously at South Central Correctional Center. Corrections officers advised the responding police officer that the woman appeared to have an item concealed in her mouth.Â
The officer made contact with the woman and questioned her about the suspicious item. She then tried to swallow it, but was restrained and dropped the item.
