Services: Thursday, Sept. 3, at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill

Freda J. Mullins, 80, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at her residence in House Springs.

She was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Houston, daughter of Milburn and Jennie Bates Shelton. She and Roy Mullins were married Jan. 13, 1951, in Houston.

She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in High Ridge and the Aqua Babes from 24 Hour Fitness book club. She attended Houston High School, enjoyed church activities and taught Sunday school, but most of all loved spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Mullins; a son, Steve Mullins, a grandchild; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Wade Shelton.

Survivors include three children, Mike Mullins of Washington, Iowa, Rodney Mullins of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Ruth Mullins of High Ridge; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Dale Shelton of Derby, Kan., James Shelton of Houston, Jerry Shelton of House Springs and Bob Shelton of Licking; and many other family members and friends.

Services were Thursday, Sept. 3, at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial is Friday, Sept. 4, in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
