Gladys Marie Clevenger Routh, 91, of Duke, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.

She was born April 27, 1924, in Knoxville, Ill., daughter of Lewis Elija and Mattie Neoma Young Clevenger. She and Alvis Clarence “Pete” Routh were married April 5, 1947.

She attended church at the Community Lighthouse in Duke. She loved Gospel songs.

She enjoyed making pies, fishing, camping, cooking and going to yard sales.

She was preceded in death by husband, Pete; her parents; three children, Don, Carol, and Bob; a sister, Vadna Katie Ramsey; and three brothers, Warren, Winfred and Vernice.

Survivors include five children, Gerald Routh of Hinesville, Ga., Gary Routh of Licking, Neoma Hangsleben of Republic, Bradley Routh and Phillip Routh of Duke; a sister, Bernice Morrison of Salem; a brother, Amos Dwight Clevenger of Illinois; 21 grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Services were Friday, Sept. 25, at Fox Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Hamilton officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery.
