The Houston Alumni Association will hold activities in conjunction with Houston High School homecoming events on Friday, Sept. 25.
The lineup for the parade begins at 12:30 p.m. Classes ending in “5” and “0” may enter a float in the parade. Call the high school principal’s office at 417-967-3024 to enter.

The alumni association will host a breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Houston Senior Center. An alumni mixer starts at 2 p.m. at Hiett Gymnasium. A short program will begin at 3 p.m. with alumni updates, scholarship reports and honored classes ending in “5” and “0” will be recognized.
From noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, author Larry Dablemont will be stationed in front of Rose Ward Accounting on Grand Avenue to sign his books and give away a free magazine. He will have several memorabilia items from the pool hall that used to be there in the 1950s.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, the Houston Lions Club will host a fish fry at the community building at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds.
