Memorial services: Saturday, Sept. 19, at Almost Home Ministries in Mountain Grove

Lela Lorraine Means, 64, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.

She was born April 27, 1951, in Palmdale, Calif., daughter of Dewey and Jean Lawrence. She married Don Culp. After divorce, she remarried Elvis Lewis. After divorce, she remarried Lester Means.

She enjoyed reading mystery novels by Dean Koontz. She also liked fishing and going to the river.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronnie Lawrence; and her husband, Lester.

Survivors include her children, Faedra Stauffer, James Lewis and Denise Means; siblings, Betty Hobel, Margie Culp and Jack Lawrence; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services are Saturday, Sept. 19, at Almost Home Ministries in Mountain Grove with Pastor Jerry Rattery officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Holden Cremation and Funeral Service of Sparta.
