MU Extension will hold a healthcare management class at Summersville beginning next week.

University of Missouri Extension will conduct a series of healthcare classes in Summersville designed for people living with a health condition or caring for someone who does.

Extension specialists believe that having a health condition does not mean that you have to stop doing the things you love to do. By attending this workshop once a week for six weeks, you will learn to manage symptoms, eat healthier, fight fatigue and pain, lessen your frustration, communicate more effectively with others about your condition and get tips on making daily tasks easier.

The classes will be held each from 1-3 p.m. each Wednesday at the Summersville Senior Center, from Sept. 16 to Oct. 21. To register, call the MU Extension office in Houston at 417-967-4545.  There is no charge, but a minimum of 10 participants is needed for the class to occur. Anyone attending all sessions will be provided a book worth $20.
