Norman Carl White, 84, of Nixa, , passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 in his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Frankclay, son of Robert McKinley and Delpha Smith White. He and Anneliese Potter were married Sept. 16, 1952, in Germany.

He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He made his career as a medic in the Army.

Following retirement, he and his wife, Anneliese, purchased a farm near Houston. They moved to Nixa 20 years ago.

He enjoyed gardening and loved being with his grandchildren. As a Christian, he was strong in his faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen.

Survivors include his wife, Anneliese; three children, Robert White of Raymondville, Steven White of Wichita, Kan., and Kathy Hartline of Stubenville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with full military honors are Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Nixa.
