A Summersville man sustained moderate injuries in a crash Sunday three miles north of Eminence, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Clint A. Smotherton, 25, was traveling northbound on Highway 19 when his 2009 Chevrolet pickup traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a rock, multiple trees and came to stop over an embankment at about 1:40 a.m.
Smotherton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Troopers said the truck was totaled.
He was arrested on charges of DWI, careless and imprudent driving and wearing no seatbelt, the patrol said. Smotherton was processed at the scene and released to EMS, the patrol said.Â
