Texas County deputies recently handled several investigations.

The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•An officer with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department called at about 5:50 p.m. Sept. 27 to ask a deputy to see if a tan car was at a Gardner Road residence. An investigating officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

•A 26-year-old Licking man called Sept. 27 to report that a Stihl weed eater valued at $100 had been stolen from his Highway 32 residence.

•A deputy was dispatched at about 5:20 p.m. Sept. 25 regarding a domestic disturbance at a Country Aire Lane trailer park at Cabool.

During the investigation, the officer determined a man and woman who lived there each had numerous active warrants. The officer subsequently arrested Erica S. Gower-Raber, 24, of 11951 Country Aire Lane, Lot 5, in Cabool (who had eight Willow Springs municipal warrants), and Andrew L. Snyder, 31, same address (who had four West Plains municipal warrants).

The two were taken to the Texas County Jail pending extradition to the other jurisdictions.

•Amanda J. Marshall, 26, of 628 Finley Road at Cabool, was arrested Sept. 25 for having an active Texas County felony warrant on dangerous drug charges.

An officer made the arrest after answering a request by a DFS official to attend a meeting involving Marshall, a man and the official. A routine computer check during the meeting revealed the warrant.

Marshall was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•A 37-year-old Houston man came to the TCSD office Sept. 25 to report that $600 cash had been stolen six months ago from his residence at a Tiffany Drive trailer park. The man stated his brother and brother’s wife had swiped the money and admitted to it.

•A deputy responded on Sept. 25 to a report of dogs with no food or water at a Turley Road residence at Plato.

The officer observed that the dogs did have water and appeared to have been fed.

The officer determined the dogs belonged to a man whose house had burned down and was believed to be living in Houston. The man’s mother was contacted and she relayed a message to the man.
