Houston will be represented Sunday and Monday at the 52nd annual Missouri Community Betterment Conference in Columbia.
Houston is among contestants in a statewide contest in its population category. A panel of judges visited the community earlier to learn about projects undertaken in the town in 2014.
Announcement of the winners will come Monday night at the annual Leadership, Communities and Youth Group Awards Banquet at the Stoney Creek Hotel in Columbia. The event precedes a day of workshops.
