John James Coleman, 57, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015.

He was born May 29, 1958, in Lebanon, N.H., son of James F. and Rita J. Coleman. He and Cheryl Peare were married Sept. 2, 1978.

He joined the Army in 1979 and was honorably discharged in 1990.

Upon leaving the military, he drove tractor-trailers across the country. He eventually retired for medical reasons.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jeff; a daughter, Jamie L. Coleman; and two grandsons.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer L. and Jeanne M.; a brother, Joe E. Coleman; a sister, Jane M. Coleman Barcomb; and three grandchildren.

A memorial inurnment was Thursday, Oct. 22, in Boone Creek Cemetery with Pastor John Jordan officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
