The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•Deputies were dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 15 regarding a report of a cat being shot at Country Aire Lane trailer park at Cabool.
A 27-year-old woman who owned the cat told the officer a neighbor man had shot and killed the cat with a pellet gun. The woman declined to pursue charges, but the man — Roman Bresler, 25 — was determined to have an active Taney County. He was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail pending extradiction.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to assist a DFS worker with an investigation about a boy and girl who both had broken arms at a Mineral Drive residence at Houston.
The boy, 10, reportedly stated he had broken his arm while swinging at school, and the girl, 11, said she broke hers by falling off of the porch at her grandmother’s house.
The kids’ mother told investigators she had received a call from the school at about 2 p.m. indicating she needed to pick up the boy.
•A 33-year-old Montana man reported on Oct. 15 that a barn had been stolen from a property he owns on Nagel Road at Willow Springs.
The property owner told an investigating officer a 49-year-old man had been staying in a trailer at the property, and had been told he could use some barn pieces for adding onto the trailer. But the barn owner said the man had moved out after taking down the entire barn. The barn wood was reportedly worth about $1,200 and the tin on it worth about $2,200.
The case is still under investigation.
•A deputy was dispatched Oct. 1 regarding a report of a burglary at a Prescott Road residence at Houston.
A 46-year-old Houston woman who owns the residence told the officer the home was for sale and nobody lived in it, and that an outside central air conditioning unit valued at $4,000 had been swiped.
There are no suspects.
