Emergency personnel responded at about 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, for a crash north of Roby.

A Plato woman was seriously injured Saturday in a Highway 17 crash north of Roby that resulted in the arrest of a Falcon man, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said a southbound 1985 Dodge pickup driven by Dustin C. Richardson, 18, ran off the roadway about four miles north of Roby to avoid an animal. A passenger, Jessica L. Wensel, 18, was taken by TCMH ambulance to the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital.

Richardson was arrested on charges of felony second-degree assault, misdemeanor DWI and careless and imprudent driving.

Investigating were Tprs. Justin Paccinino and Robert Crewse. Members of the Roby Fire Department assisted at the scene.
