Houston police investigated several shoplifting reports during the last week.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

Timothy S. Smoot, 18, of 513 N. Second St. in Houston, and Marinda L. Gaston, 18, of 1103 W. Short St. in Mountain Grove, were each issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption at about 1:55 a.m. Oct. 2.

An officer cited the teens after they were observed visibly intoxicated during an investigation involving a car in the Walmart parking lot in which they were passengers.

•Gregory S. Kennedy-Williams, 26, of 9689 Highway 17 in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting several items from Walmart at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

•Sonya R. Byrd, 33, of 18230 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was arrested Sept. 30 for having an active Texas County warrant for property damage and an active Houston municipal warrant for driving while intoxicated.

An officer made the arrest at Walmart after being advised Byrd was there. She was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•Curtis A. Edgerton, 33, of 14539 Highway C at Licking, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting a pair of shoes from Walmart on Oct. 1.

•Randall Goodman, 43, of 220 Dorsey St. in Licking, was ticketed for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Highway 17 at about 4 p.m. Sept. 27.

•A 43-year-old Cabool woman faces felony charges after allegedly shoplifting more than $900 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Sept. 17.

A Walmart representative reported observed the woman push a cart full of goods out the door without paying. A probable cause statement seeking a felony charge of stealing over $500 was sent to the county prosecutor.

•Adam B. Smith, 28, and Amanda J. Malchert, 28, both of 5 Cedar Bluff Avenue in Cabool, were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after allegedly teaming up to shoplift several items from Walmart at about 9 p.m. Sept. 30.

•An officer was dispatched at about 8:15 p.m. Sept. 30 regarding a report of theft at a Highway 17 residence.

A 71-year-old woman who lives there told the officer numerous items of jewelry with a total value of $3,320 had been stolen from a box on a dresser in her bedroom. There are no suspects.

•Jamie R. Feringa, 34, of Hollister, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting a bottle of vodka and a rotisserie chicken from Walmart on Sept. 26.

•Nathan K. Hale, 34, of 9626 Highway AE in Plato, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at First and Steffens streets at about 1:50 p.m. Sept. 28.
