Houston Schools has organized a sendoff Wednesday morning for the Lady Tigers’ softball team as they leave for districts.
The bus will depart at 10:45 a.m. and travel from the softball fields to the vocational building, high school, elementary and city hall before heading south on U.S. 63 to Alton. Community members are invited to line the streets to show their support.
Houston faces Mountain View-Liberty at 2 p.m. in the opening around of Class 2 District 8.
