Three persons were injured and one person arrested early Sunday in a crash east of Success, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Sgt. George Falterman said a westbound 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis operated by Parish L. Gale, 25, of Summersville, swerved to miss a deer and ran off the roadway.

Gale and two passengers, Michael L. Cross, 25, Raymondville; and Clarence L. Hall, 23, of Houston, were transported by private vehicle with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

Gale was later arrested on a felony Wright County warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.

The vehicle had moderate damage, and all three were wearing seat belts, Falterman said.
