Virgie Agnes Terrill, 99, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, in Houston.

She was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Hartshorn, daughter of Earnest Elvin and Ellen Cordelia Smith Terrill. She and William Paul Hodge were married June 23, 1934, in Eminence. He passed away Feb. 2, 2003.

She and her husband, Paul, lived in the Eminence and Summersville communities. They lived in Summersville at the time of their retirement.

She was an accomplished seamstress and cook. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and canning. She loved her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Paul; her parents; two sisters, Beulah and Ruby; and seven brothers, Emil, Virgil, Ray, Norman, Robert, Meril and Eugene.

Survivors include a host of extended family members.

She professed her faith in Christ and truly believed in the Lord.

Services were Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Bradford Funeral Home. Burial was in Black Pond Cemetery.
