Virginia Lea Farrar, age 77, daughter of Denver Richard and Mattie Bell (Cummings) Barton was born June 1, 1938, in Raymondville, Mo. She passed away Oct. 8, 2015, at Bethesda Meadows, Ellisville, Mo.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents.
She married Robert Donald Farrar April 23, 1960, in Cuba, Mo., at the minister’s home. They shared 56 years of marriage. Virginia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved her family more than anything and was the happiest when she was around them.
Virginia was an accountant for several years and also a document control specialist for the U.S government for many years where she excelled at her job. She also was an accounting specialist for many years.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband Robert, her children, Bob Farrar and wife Gina of St. Peters, Mo., and Linda Hirssig and husband Gary of Ballwin, Mo.; five special grandchildren: Matt Farrar and wife Megan, Laura Farrar, Jeanette Farrar, Leigh Borgers and Mary Borgers, and one very special great-granddaughter, Zariyah.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Services were 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Farrar officiating. Pallbearers were: Arthur Cook, Gerald Cook, Bruce Boston, Fred Hagler, Kyle Sillyman, Bob Callahan and Terry Dzurick. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
