A cook prepares a Thanksgiving meal Thursday at Fort Leonard Wood. 

Fort Leonard Wood celebrated Thanksgiving with a traditional holiday meal served in 10 on-post dining facilities Thursday.

More than five tons of turkey, 1,000 pounds of shrimp, 3,000 pounds of rib eye and 2,000 assorted pies were served as part of the traditional holiday meal, which took more than 4,500 hours of preparation by installation food service employees.
