Gerald Edgar Stone, 75, of Licking, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015.

He was born Dec. 15, 1939, son of Ralph and Jessie Stone.

He was a life-long Licking resident with the exception of two years while serving in the Army at Fort Carson, Colo.

He was employed by Intercounty Electric for 36 years. He retired in 2003.

After retirement, he enjoyed working his farm. He loved playing cards, shuffleboard and fishing.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of more than 45 years, Janice; a son, Michael Stone of Licking; two brothers, Don Stone of Licking and Don Stone of Hollister; and many extended family members.

Gerald’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life is Monday, Nov. 16, at Licking First Baptist Church. Cremation was under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
