BO L. SAIZ

A Houston man is charged with several felonies following an incident last Friday morning at a Highway 17 apartment.

Bo L. Saiz, 21, of 816 Augusta St., Apt. A, is charged with felonies of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and armed criminal action, as well as a misdemeanor charge of second-degree property damage.

The case began when a Houston police officer responded at about 11:40 a.m. to a report of a home invasion at an apartment complex at 777 W. Highway 17. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with multiple people, including a woman holding an ice pack on her right hand.

The woman told the officer she had been sitting on her couch when Saiz kicked the front door open and entered the apartment holding a tire jack handle and acting aggressively. The people inside reportedly tried to make Saiz leave, but he instead began to act more aggressively, even swinging the metal item and shattering a wooden board the woman had wielded in an attempt to deter him.

Investigating officers located Saiz at his place of work at about noon, and placed him under arrest. He reportedly claimed residents of the apartment he allegedly broke into had swiped something from his residence earlier the same day, so he went there to confront them about it.

Saiz is held on $400,000 bond in the Texas County Jail.
