Houston police officers recently handled two burglary investigations.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•An officer on Nov. 22 responded to a report of a break-in at a Thomasville Road residence.

The officer made contact with a 65-year-old woman who oversees the property who stated when she got there, the back door was open and a dining room table and a ceiling fan had been swiped. There are no suspects.

•An officer was dispatched Nov. 8 regarding a report of a burglary at a Dooley Street residence. A 59-year old woman who lives there told the officer that jewelry, coins and other currency with a total value of $700 had been stolen. There are no suspects.
