James Earl Sullins, 74, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, in Licking.

He was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Licking, Edward and Bessie Mae Buckner Sullins.

He was a painter by trade for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William “Buddy” Sullins and Thomas Jewel Sullins; and four sisters, Viola Holt, Beulah Sullins, Wilma Smith and Frances “Sug” Shrout.

Survivors include his wife, Opal of Licking; two sons, James “Jamie” Sullins and Forrest Sullins of Licking; two daughters, Regina James of Salem and Trina Harris of Edgar Springs; a brother, Vernon Ray Sullins of Licking; two sisters, Violet Grady of Willard and Wilda Lane of Licking; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and many extended family members.

A private family burial was Thursday, Nov. 12, in Craddock Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
