Kelsie Mae Hayes, age 17 years, 3 weeks and 5 days, was the daughter of Patricia (Dayton) and Ron R. Hayes and step-mom Shannon Minter. She was born Oct. 5, 1998, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo. She died on Oct. 31, 2015, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ina Dayton; an uncle John Dayton; cousins, Patricia Dickens, Vallery Dickens, and Dwain Hayes; great-aunt Sandra Dickens; and great-uncle, JR Dickens.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Hayes; her father, Ron Hayes; three brothers, Brandon Tharp, Ron R. Hayes II (Hoppie) and Corie Buckner; grandparents, Ray and Janet Jennings; two sisters, Kenzey Hayes and Koleen Hayes; one niece, Allison G Burris; four best friends, Danielle Heiney, Tori Colvard, Kylie Lane and Cody Carter; her boyfriend, Austin Diedrich, the love of her life; and many many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kelsie grew up in the Houston and Licking area. She attended Houston pre-k through fourth grade. She then moved to Licking and attended Licking Schools fourth through 11th grade.

Kelsie was one of a kind and loved life. She had fun hanging with her friends and with the love of her life, Austin. She liked to go backroading, 4 wheeling, and watching movies with the love of her life, Austin. Kelsie was up for about anything that she thought would be fun, especially if it would keep her from being at home.

Kelsie will be missed by her family and many friends.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at Evans Funeral Home with Don Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were JD Bunton, Corie Buckner, Charlie Jones, James Middleton, Daniel Reaves, Travis Hayes, Troy Hayes, Rick Garner and Ron “Hoppie” Hayes.
