Lola “Bunny” Fay Hohlt, 79, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Houston House.

She was born April 3, 1936, in St. Louis, daughter of Lyman and Beulah Holliday Sutherlin.

She graduated from Fairview High School in Jennings. She worked for the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the mathematical science department as an administrative secretary until her retirement.

She attended the Atonement Lutheran Church in Florissant for many years.

She was a resident at Houston House since May 2015.

She was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed murder mysteries. She also loved gardening, flowers, knitting, trout fishing with her cousins, going out to eat, playing games on her computer and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mick; and a sister, Irma Lorraine.

Survivors include three children, Doug Hohlt of Bucyrus, Mark Hohlt of Ellis Prairie and Cynthia O’Hare of Florissant; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Florissant with Pastor Jean Vargo officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Florissant. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
