Ulah “Pearl” Pursifull, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, in Houston.
She was born March 3, 1937, in Hazelton, daughter of Porter Emmit and Gertie Adaline Hildebrand Wiseman.
She grew up in Plato, where she attended a one-room schoolhouse in grade school and Plato High School.
She moved to St. Louis when she was 18 and worked 21 years at the Forrest Park Envelope Factory.
She was married to Jerry Pursifull for 20 years.
She loved to cook, wash laundry, garden, do puzzles and play dominoes. One of her highlights was meeting Mel Tillis while on a trip to Branson with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry; and three sisters, Nadine Vaughn, Alma Buckner and Jana May Williams.
Survivors include three children, Stanley Duncan, Deborah Worlow and Steven Duncan; four grandchildren; a brother, Porter Wiseman; three sisters, Jean Wolfe, Ida Hudson and Lois Williams; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in Long Hollow Cemetery with Dr. James Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
