R&S Machining, a manufacturer of aerospace and defense components, is building a new $6 million office and manufacturing facility.

The company, which currently employs 25, plans to add 10 to 15 new permanent jobs upon completion of the facility in south St. Louis County next year. Arco Construction is the general contractor.

In addition to being equipped with some of the most advanced tooling machinery in the aerospace component industry, the new facility will use radio frequency identification tracking technology that will enable the company to track the hundreds of jobs it processes on a daily basis.

R&S Machining makes a variety of aerospace components for the company’s global clients, including Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems and Lockheed Martin.
