Texas County remains the leader in the fall firearms deer season, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
In the county, hunters have bagged 4,406 deer as of Tuesday afternoon. The breakdown: bucks, 2,093; button bucks, 477; and does, 1,836.Â
Howell County is second with 3,882 and third is Franklin with 3,613.
The season ends today (Tuesday).
