Bertha Marcella Ross Mallory, 79, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at her home in Roby.

She was born Feb 4, 1936, in Parma, daughter of Jesse and Mary Tidwell Ross. She and Charles Henry Mallory were married May 7, 1954.

An Air Force spouse, she joined her husband, Charles on assignments around the world including Turkey, Iran, Alaska, and the Philippines. They retired in 1983 to their farm in Roby, where she resided until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a daughter, Sara Melinda Mallory; and a baby son.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Jewel Autrey and Vera Louise Kessels; two brothers, Mark Shawn Ross and David Ray Ross; two sons, Charles Kevin Mallory and Burns Ross Mallory; a daughter, Jessica Maude Mallory; six granddaughters; three grandsons; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A wake was Thursday, Dec. 31, at her home in Roby. Inurnment will be at a later date in Waynesville Veterans Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
