Licking’s Route 63 Car Club recently spread holiday cheer with monetary donations to several organizations.
The club on Dec. 11 presented $600 each to the Licking United Community Help Center, Licking Police Department K-9 unit, Licking Bridge Builders (senior center), Share Your Christmas campaign and The Animal Shelter of Texas County (for a total of $3,000).
The donations were made possible by the club’s annual car show held at Licking City Park.
“The turnout for the annual car show was a huge success,” said Sue Daniels of the organization.  The Route 63 Car Club has more than 30 members and is growing. Sponsors also help underwrite the show’s cost.
