The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy responded at about 1 a.m. Dec. 20 to assist Houston police with a fight at the Office Bar on Grand Avenue in downtown Houston. The people fighting had left by the time officers arrived.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 1 a.m. Dec. 20 regarding a report of a prowler at a vacant residence on Reed Road at Licking. The officer was unable to locate anyone at the scene.
•A deputy was dispatched Dec. 11 regarding a report of a cow being shot at a Bado Road property at Cabool.
A 25-year-old man who lives there told the officer he found a black angus cow valued at $1,200 at the back of his property with a gunshot wound and its back hindquarter cut off.
There are no suspects.
•A 72-year-old Summersville woman called Dec. 18 to report that two tombstone wreaths with a total value of $100 had been stolen from a grave in the Union Chapel Cemetery in Eunice. There are no suspects.
•A 56-year-old man came to the TCSD office on Dec. 18 to report that a Pepsi cooler valued at $350 had been stolen from the Midwest Truck Stop on U.S. 63 at Cabool. There are no suspects.
•A woman called Dec. 12 to report that someone had broken into her residence on Bean Creek Drive at Licking. She called back and stated it was her brother, and she didn’t want to pursue charges.
