The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 6 after a Cabool woman reported being harassed at her Highway PP residence.
The woman told the officer someone was pointing lasers at her and around her yard, and someone was banging on something in the yard. The officer didn’t report finding a suspect.
•A 53-year-old Willow Springs woman came to the TCSD office Dec. 3 to report a neighbor man had been harassing her at her Rainbow Drive residence.
The woman told an officer the man had been sitting on an ATV in front of her house staring and holding a rifle. She also stated the man had numerous starving cattle.
The officer went to the location and observed several hundred cattle, all of which were on green pastureland and appeared healthy. The woman was advised to apply for an ex-parte (order of protection) if she felt threatened.
•A 38-year-old Houston man called Dec. 2 to report his 26-year-old former girlfriend had come to his mother’s residence in a Tiffany Drive trailer park and swiped a cylindrical Bluetooth speaker valued at $85.
The woman denied stealing the item. A report was sent to the county prosecutor.
•Brandy R. Dewolfe, 38, of 17100 Tiffany Drive, Lot A, in Houston, was issued a citation for violating a protection order after allegedly going to a 26-year-old woman’s residence at a Morton Road trailer park in Houston.
•At about 11 p.m. Dec. 2, a deputy observed a man walking along U.S. 63 and saw him almost step in front of a car. The officer made contact with the man and determined he was drunk. The man was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 6-hour hold period.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 9:45 p.m. Dec. 2 to assist a DFS worker at a residence suspected of harboring a meth lab on Dorman Road at Licking.
Upon arrival, the officer knocked several times on the door before a man finally came to the door and asked, “where are you?” The officer announced who he was and the man reportedly would not open the door.
The deputy stated he looked through a window and observed the man go up the stairs. Investigation of the case continues.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 3:40 p.m. Dec. 2 regarding a report of a dog attacking pigs at a Brushy Creek Road property near Houston.
A 40-year-old woman who lives there told the officer her neighbor woman’s Rotweiller attacked her three pigs, and that one was gone and the other two had been bitten. She said she came home and saw the dog run out of her driveway, and then discovered the pig situation.
The officer went to the neighbor’s residence and was unable to make contact with her, but did see the dog and observed blood all over its face and head.
Investigation of the case continues.
•A 55-year-old Raymondville man reported on Nov. 30 that a 1995 Honda Del Sol had been stolen from his Junction Street residence.
The man named a 57-year-old Jefferson City woman as a suspect. On Dec. 1, the man reported that the woman had called him and stated the car was in her garage and that’s where it was going to stay.
The man was advised to provide that information to Cole County authorities. Investigation of the case continues.
