The Houston High School girls’ basketball team is ranked seventh in Class 3 in the first statewide poll of the season.

The Lady Tigers (1-1) returned four starters from last year’s 20-win team. They opened the season with a 64-53 loss to Fair Grove before beating Eminence 67-30 on Monday.

Strafford is the top-ranked team in Class 3.
