The Houston Middle School girls both defeated Cabool last Thursday.

Danielle Walker scored 10 points in the eighth grade’s 35-26 victory. Kelly Hubbs added eight points and Viviana Guerra scored seven.

The seventh grade won 15-6 in a game that was shortened to one half due to Cabool’s small roster.

“Things are finally starting to come together for both teams,” Houston coach Patti Roberts said. “I really appreciate the effort the seventh graders put forth in the eighth grade games. Without them, we wouldn’t have a team.”

Last Tuesday, Hubbs scored 12 points in the eighth grade’s 21-20 win against Mountain Grove. Kameron Hall and Guerra scored four points apiece.

Riley Scheets had four points in the seventh grade’s 9-7 loss to Mountain Grove.
