The Houston eighth-grade boys’ basketball team entered the holiday break with their fourth and fifth consecutive victories.
Isaiah Buse scored 14 points and Sterling Jackson had 12 in the Tigers’ 44-29 victory Dec. 21 against Thayer. Clayton Moore chipped in nine points.
On Dec. 17, Buse had 12 points in Houston’s 40-16 victory against Licking. Dakota Burchett added eight points and Kyle Mills scored six.
Houston has an 8-4 record, including 5-1 in the South Central Association, entering next week’s Willow Springs Tournament.
SEVENTH GRADE: Alex Castleman scored 11 points and Evan Fischer added nine in Houston’s 41-31 loss Dec. 21 to undefeated Thayer.
On Dec. 17, Daniel Hutchison scored 10 ponts and Alex Castleman and Ty Franklin added seven apice in Houston’s 46-35 loss to Licking.
Houston is 2-8 overall and 2-3 in the SCA.
