Kenneth Hershel Beasley, 53, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, in Springfield.

He was born Oct. 29, 1962, in Gunnison, Colo., son of Kenneth C. and Norma Jean Seago Beasley.

He served in the Navy from August 1980 thru August 1984. He spent much of his tour at sea, aboard the USS Enterprise, where he enjoyed the privilege of visiting many countries around the world.

After an honorable military discharge, he returned to Summersville, where he spent the rest of his life. For the last 20 years, he was employed as a machinist at South Central Manufacturing.

When not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that involved his kids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth C. Beasley.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Beasley; his life partner, Kay White; a son, Tanner Beasley of Summersville; a daughter, Ashlee Sikes of Minden, La.; a grandson; three sisters,

Jeanie Estes of Summersville, Marium Kennedy of Wichita Kan., and Cindy Henry of Wentzville; a brother, Allen Beasley of Singapore; the mother of his children, Tammy Bowlin-Beasley; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Bethel Cemetery.
