Houston junior Abby Casper had 11 points and six steals in the Lady Tigers' 48-22 first-round victory against Dora in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Sarah Kelley had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Houston Lady Tigers’ 48-22 victory Monday night against Dora in the opening round of the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

The second-seeded Lady Tigers – ranked seventh in Class 3 – play third-seeded Willow Springs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The championship game is 7 p.m. Friday.

Abby Casper had 11 points and six steals, and Kaitlyn Root added nine for HHS (3-1), which led 26-17 at the half. The Lady Tigers outscored Dora 11-1 in the final quarter.

Houston won despite shooting 43.8 percent from the field and only 2-for-13 from downtown and 4-for-13 at the free-throw line.

Makenzie Gardener led Dora with 14 points.
