Houston police officers recently handled several investigations. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Two teens were each issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption on Nov. 13.

An officer wrote the tickets after responding to a report by a woman at about 9:20 p.m. who stated a there was a possible fight and minors drinking at a Second Street residence. After an investigation, Tristan A. Cooper, 18, of 305 S. Second St. in Houston, and Dawson A. Austin, 17, of 22061 Ladley Road in Summersville, were each cited.

•Shawn D. Sharp, 24, of 8302 Fisher Drive in Houston, was cited for third-degree assault and peace disturbance after allegedly throwing paint cans at a 30-year-old man during an incident on Oak Crest Drive on Oct. 29.

•William T. Hebert, 29, of 611 Hawthorne Street in Houston, was issued a citation for receiving stolen property after allegedly pawning several items that another person had swiped from a local retail store.

•Doris O. Wilson, 65, of 691 Plainview Drive in Houston, was ticketed for failure to yield resulting in an accident after a two-vehicle accident on Holder Drive at about 6:10 p.m. Nov. 23.

•Melinda H. Olcott, 23, of 501 Broadway in Houston, was cited for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift multiple items from Walmart on Nov. 25.

•Donald A. Newell, 26, of 14004 Arnott Road in Licking, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting multiple items from Walmart on Nov. 23.

•Deborah A. Scott, 47, of 810 Davis St. in Cabool, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after an officer observed a white SUV in a ditch next to U.S. 63 at Smokers Express at about 6:15 p.m. Nov. 29.

The officer stopped to investigate and made contact with a woman sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The officer noticed the woman stumble as she exited the SUV, and then smelled alcohol.

Field sobriety tests were conducted, and Scott was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•Tina M. Flores, 49, of 21109 Highway B in Raymondville, was ticketed on Dec. 2 for failing to stop at a posted stop sign at First Street and U.S. 63.

•Dustin J.D. Duncan, 27, of 13353 Shafer Road in Licking, was issued a citation for improper passing on Nov. 27.

•Cooky Sutton, 40, of 413 Broadway in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing an animal to run at large after an officer observed two dogs belonging to her running loose at Oak and First streets.

•Justin L. Martin, 30, of 415 W. Mill Street, Lot 5, in Houston, was arrested for having an active Willow Springs municipal warrant for traffic violations and was issued two citations after an incident at his residence at about 3:40 p.m. Nov. 23.

The incident occurred after two officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at the trailer home. Upon arrival, one officer knocked on the front door while the other stood by the back door. When an officer knocked on the front door and announced himself, Martin reported ran out the back door and continued running even after the officer there told him to stop.

The officer pursued him through a neighbor’s yard and apprehended him. A computer check revealed the warrant.

After an investigation, Martin was taken the Texas County Jail and cited for resisting arrest by fleeing and third-degree domestic assault. He was then transported to Willow Springs.

•A 32-year-old Houston woman is being sought by police after allegedly removing an electronic tracking bracelet valued at $1,700 from her ankle.

Police were notified by a Missouri Private Probation Services officer on Nov. 25 who had been notified by a bail bondsman that the woman had removed the ankle bracelet. The whereabouts of the woman and the bracelet are not known.

A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking a felony theft charge against the woman.
