Houston superintendent Scott Dill is leaving at the conclusion of the current school year for the same position at Poplar Bluff R-1 Schools.

The Houston school board has accepted Superintendent Scott Dill’s resignation. But it wasn’t unanimous.

During a closed special session last Tuesday, the board voted 5-1 to release Dill at the conclusion of the 2015-’16 school year. The dissenting vote was from Jennifer Scheets.

Dill, who was under contract through 2018, has accepted the superintendent position with Poplar Bluff R-1 Schools. His duties begin July 1.
