The annual charity drive that benefits children and their families — Share Your Christmas — is coming to a close in Texas County. Officials said 335 children representing 135 families had sought help before an application deadline passed last Friday.
There are still ways to help:
•Items can be dropped off at the headquarters in the basement of the Houston Lions Club Den on North U.S. 63.
•To adopt a family, call 417-217-1318, 417-457-6075 and 417-217-6595. To make a donation, send it to: Share Your Christmas, P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
•Persons also can select a case from “Angel Trees” in Houston at the Walmart Supercenter, Forbes Pharmacy and Sonic.
