Tanya Marie Carson, 52, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Feb. 3, 1963, in Carbondale, Ill., daughter of James and Helen Luster Carson.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Luke.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her companion of 23 years, Randy Hanks of the home in Houston; a son, Shaun Greer of Houston; a grandson, Luke; three siblings, Rocky Carson, Yolanda Hite and Relita Lievasy; four nieces; two nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Evans Funeral Home with Bishop Doc Openshaw officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
