Eleanor Lorraine Roderick, 87, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Licking, Mo., daughter of Louis and Lenora Elmore Slaughter. She and Lee Roderick were married July 30, 1948. He passed away Aug. 8, 2013.

Lorraine was a charter member of Crossroads Fellowship in Jackson, where she was active in the Psalms group. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and rarely missed a game.

Loving survivors include three children, Linda (T. Wayne) Lewis of Jackson, Doug (Kathy) Roderick of Fulton, Mo., and David (Tami) Roderick of Collinsville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Chris (Barb) Lewis, Lisken (Leonard) Veare, Tracey (Jeff) Cox, Brad (Kellie) Stockton, Morgan (Luke) Richardson, Matthew (Tiffany) Roderick, Brad Roderick, Ben Roderick, Kara Roderick, Zack Roderick, Christian Roderick and Tori Roderick; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dona Billington of Bakersfield, Calif.; and a brother-in-law, Frank Jaszarowski of Florissant, Mo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florene Hall and Glenda Jaszarowski, and a brother, Jimmy Slaughter.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with Dr. Brian Anderson and David Roderick officiating.

A visitation will be held from 1:30-2 p.m. with a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Upton, Mo. Interment will follow in Hickory Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lewis, Brad Stockton, Matthew Roderick, Brad Roderick, Ben Roderick, Zack Roderick, and Christian Roderick.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Crossroads Fellowship.
