Superintendent Scott Dill has shared a list of numbers to use when contacting Houston Schools as a new phone system is installed.
Dill said an electrical surge damaged the previous system and could not be repaired. He has been authorized by the school board to purchase a new one, but that system is not in place.
Dill said anyone who currently dials the district’s main number –– 417-967-3024 –– will not be connected due to the system error. He suggests the following alternate numbers that have been used with some success: 967-4028; 967-4017; 967-0074; 967-4018; 967-4881; 967-4890; 967-4899; 967-4884; 967-4101; 967-4886; 967-4016; 967-4883; 967-4204; 967-4418; 967-4892; or 967-4019.
“I apologize for the inconvenience created by this situation,” Dill said in a letter from the district, “and thank you for your continued patience.”
