Laura Luida Wilson Vaughn, 85, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, in Mountain Grove.

She was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Winfield, daughter of Willie and Iva Pearl Day Wilson. She and Leroy Atwood Vaught were married Aug. 24, 1946.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hanna, Wyo. She loved to read, craft and travel. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy; a son, Leroy Jr.; a brother, Jesse Wilson; and a half-brother, Marvin Day.

Survivors include a brother, Eugene Wilson; five sisters, Carol Huffman, Joyce Huffman, Velgene Schenck, Mary Taylor and Dorothy Locke; three sons, Bill Vaughn, Jim Vaughn and Alan Vaughn; and many extended family members.

Services were Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Baylock officiating. Interment was in Auburn Cemetery near Silex.
