Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Brent D. Carter, 43, of 303 Kimble Road at Licking, was issued citations Jan. 1 for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Carter was cited after an officer observed a maroon Chevrolet Blazer moving erratically at about 1:10 a.m. in downtown Houston.

After initiating a traffic stop, the officer conducted field sobriety tests. Carter was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 6-hour hold period.

•An officer was dispatched at about 1:45 p.m. Dec. 3 regarding a report of four dogs running loose on Ozark Street.

After an investigation, Kristopher E. Meskil, 31, of 608 Ozark St. in Houston, was issued citations for four counts of allowing an animal to run at large and four counts of animal neglect. The officer stated in his report that Meskil and a woman at the same address had each been previously warned about the dogs running loose.

Two officers and a neighbor lady captured the dogs. They were taken to The Animal Shelter of Texas County.

•Rebecca J. Tune, 25, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 19, in Houston, was arrested Dec. 31 for having an active City of Houston warrant for peace disturbance.

An officer made the arrest after initiating a traffic stop on a white Jeep Wrangler for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway at about 5:50 p.m. on Oak Hill Drive and determining the driver – Tune – had a warrant.

She was taken to the Texas County Jail, where she posted $100 bond and was released.

•James E. Burris III, 21, of 18225 Emmett Kelly Road in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while revoked after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 11:50 p.m. Dec. 26.
