Allan John Ray, age 77, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Licking Park Manor.

He was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of Robert and Rose Spadora Ray.

Hew grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School. He never married.

He worked for Chrysler for 30 years and then started his own automotive business at his home in New York.

He loved being outside and working in the yard. He also loved animals. He took in a dog, Missy, that was left on his porch.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a sister, Veronica Schultheis of Ridge, N.Y.; a niece; and a cousin.

No services are planned. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
