Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Dawn M. Sikes, 37, of 102 N. Pine St. in Mountain View, was issued a citation on for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting from the Houston Walmart on Feb. 23.

•Nathan C. Young, 28, of 9267 U.S. 63 in Houston, was cited Feb. 23 for driving with a suspended license after an officer who knew his license was suspended saw him driving a black Dodge Neon on U.S. 63.

•Lynn K. Cancel, 28, and Daniel S. Crawford, 28, both of 110 Elm St. in Houston, were each issued citations for peace disturbance after a disturbance on Walnut Street at about 5:10 p.m. Feb. 17.

•Corie L. Buckner, 27, and Josi M. Spauldin, 19, both of 301 N. Hamrick in Houston, were each issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 20.

The two were cited when an officer who was checking on Rutherford Park due to recent property damage observed a red Chevrolet S-10 parked at the south end of the park with its headlights on. After making contact with the vehicle’s occupants, the officer smelled burnt marijuana and found smoking devices inside.

•Curt C. Cichon, 44, of 8378 Fisher Drive in Houston, was cited for peace disturbance on Feb. 17 after an alleged road rage incident.

•Robert L. Lauer, 52, of 19177 Highway CC at Licking, was arrested Feb. 18 for having two active Texas County warrants for driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked. An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised that Lauer was there.

He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held without bond.

•Ardis F. Morton Jr., 33, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 9, in Houston, was cited Feb. 5 for fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. Morton was cited after allegedly using a 16-year-old girl’s debit card multiple times without permission.

•Philip P. Benson, 36, of 902 Dooley St. in Houston, was issued a citation Feb. 20 for allowing a dog to run at large.

•Opal M. Pyle, 80, of 104 Forrest Drive in Houston, was cited for failure to yield right of way on Feb. 21 after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Thomasville Road.

•Nicholas M. Jones, 24, of 18100 Highway B in Houston, was cited for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping a pair of shoes from the Houston Walmart on Feb. 20.
